Points-based adds up all points earned divided by all points possible, so a 100-point final counts far more than a 10-point quiz. Weighted grading sets each category (e.g. Tests 40%, Homework 20%) to a fixed share of the grade regardless of point totals. Toggle 'Use Category Weighting' to match your syllabus.
Set 'Drop Lowest Scores' to remove your lowest-scoring assignment(s) in each category before the grade is calculated — the way many teachers drop your worst quiz. It only drops within a category that has more assignments than the number dropped.
