Calculate your current semester grade with our weighted grade calculator. Enter your assignments, exams, and projects with their weights to see exactly where you stand and what you need on remaining work.
Weighted grading assigns different importance to various assignments. For example, a final exam might count 40% while homework counts 20%. Your grade is calculated by multiplying each score by its weight and summing the results.

The calculator normalizes weights automatically. If you've only entered assignments totaling 60% of your grade, it calculates based on completed work only.
Check your course syllabus. It typically lists grading criteria like 'Final Exam: 30%, Midterm: 25%, Homework: 20%, Participation: 15%, Projects: 10%'.
Multiply each assignment's percentage by its weight, add up those weighted contributions, then divide by the total weight you entered. For example, 90% on work worth 40% contributes 36 points toward your semester grade.
Most schools set passing at 60% (D-) or 70% (C-) — check your syllabus. Enter that threshold as your desired grade and your final's weight to see the exact score you need on the final to pass.
